Terms of Service

Last updated: 1 May 2026
Plain-English summary: Rob Reliability builds and deploys AI for reliability engineering. Outputs are drafts that must always be reviewed and approved by a qualified reliability engineer before any operational use. We do our best — but the final decision and responsibility for any action taken on your industrial assets remains with you.

1. Scope & acceptance

These Terms of Service (the "Terms") govern your access to and use of the Rob Reliability website (robreliability.com), services, AI agents, and any deliverables produced through them (collectively, the "Services"). By engaging with us — whether via discovery call, signed engagement, or any use of our Services — you accept these Terms in full.

If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, do not use the Services.

2. Description of services

Rob Reliability provides AI-assisted reliability engineering services, including but not limited to: PMI generation, FMECA automation, root cause analysis (RCA), Weibull analysis, bad-actor identification, and custom AI agents trained on client data.

All AI-generated outputs are draft deliverables intended to support — not replace — the judgment of a qualified reliability engineer. Each deliverable is reviewed by a senior reliability engineer at Rob Reliability before handover, but final acceptance and use rest with the Client.

3. Engagement & pricing

Pricing, scope, deliverables and timelines are defined in a written engagement agreement signed between Rob Reliability and the Client prior to any work. These Terms operate alongside that engagement agreement; in case of conflict, the engagement agreement prevails for the matters it expressly covers.

If the first deployed agent does not meet your standards, we will iterate at no additional cost — within the rework cycles defined in the engagement agreement — until the output meets the agreed quality criteria.

4. Your responsibilities

You are responsible for:

  • The accuracy, completeness and lawful provenance of any data you provide.
  • Obtaining all necessary licences, consents and authorisations to share data (including OEM manuals, P&IDs, CMMS extracts) with us.
  • Reviewing, validating and approving every AI-generated output before any operational use, including but not limited to publication into your CMMS, execution on plant equipment, regulatory submission, or safety-critical decisions.
  • Ensuring that any decision based on our outputs complies with applicable laws, standards (including but not limited to ISO 14224, IEC 60812, API, ASME, OSHA), and your internal management-of-change processes.
  • Maintaining the confidentiality of any access credentials we provide.

5. Intellectual property

Your data stays yours. All input data you provide to us — manuals, asset registries, maintenance history, photos, etc. — remains your sole property. We do not use it to train public AI models.

Deliverables. Once fully paid, deliverables produced for you (PMI documents, FMECA tables, RCA reports, etc.) are owned by you for your internal industrial use.

Our methods. The underlying AI agents, prompt structures, evaluation pipelines, software components, brand and know-how remain the exclusive property of Rob Reliability. No transfer of these is implied.

6. No warranties & AI output disclaimer

The Services and any AI-generated outputs are provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, accuracy, completeness, or that outputs are free of errors or hallucinations.

AI systems can produce plausible-sounding but incorrect results. No AI output may be acted upon, executed on plant equipment, used as engineering certification, or relied upon for safety-critical decisions without independent review and approval by a qualified reliability or maintenance engineer employed by — or contracted by — the Client.

Rob Reliability does not certify equipment, does not act as an authority having jurisdiction (AHJ), and does not replace your obligation to comply with all applicable industry codes, standards and regulations.

7. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, in no event shall Rob Reliability, its founders, employees, contractors or affiliates be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary or punitive damages, including but not limited to: loss of production, lost profits, business interruption, equipment damage, environmental release, injury, regulatory fines, or loss of data, whether arising from contract, tort (including negligence), strict liability, or otherwise, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.

Without limiting the foregoing, the aggregate liability of Rob Reliability for all claims arising out of or relating to the Services shall not exceed the total fees actually paid by the Client to Rob Reliability under the relevant engagement agreement during the twelve (12) months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.

You acknowledge that the limitations above are an essential part of the basis of the bargain between you and Rob Reliability and that the fees would be substantially higher absent these limitations.

8. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify and hold harmless Rob Reliability from and against any claims, damages, liabilities, losses and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or related to: (a) your use of the Services or any AI-generated output; (b) your breach of these Terms or any law; (c) data you provided that infringes third-party rights; (d) any operational decision taken on the basis of our outputs without proper engineering validation.

9. Termination

Either party may terminate the engagement in accordance with the conditions set out in the signed engagement agreement. Provisions of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination — including IP, warranty disclaimers, liability caps, indemnification, confidentiality and governing law — shall survive.

10. Confidentiality

We treat all client data, technical information and engagement details as strictly confidential. We sign your NDA before the first document is shared. Your data is stored in a private, isolated knowledge base dedicated to your site, never shared across clients, and never used to train public AI models.

11. Governing law

Rob Reliability operates a multi-entity group, with operating entities in the United Kingdom, the United States and Australia. Each engagement agreement specifies the contracting entity and the applicable governing law (typically the law of the country in which the contracting entity is registered, or — for European clients — the applicable law of the European Union / European Economic Area).

Any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms or an engagement agreement shall be submitted to the competent courts of the contracting entity's registered office, except where mandatory local consumer-protection law provides otherwise.
